Bomb AF and Casualty Report Bug?

Post by cabron66 »

Just wondering if there are any known issues with the airfield attack order. I have been noticing that the order often results in widely varying outcomes. After some testing, in the first German turn, I could find no way to explain the results.

Sometimes only half the operational bombers attack (while 100% of available escort fighters will always attack) and frequently this will cause the strike to get bounced. Sometimes half or all of the bombers will attack, drop their bombs and hit nothing. I am not sure why this is happening.

Is there something I'm missing?

Also, I have noticed that if you save the game during the first Axis turn and then reload it, all of the losses will not be recorded in the final tally for the turn. For example, I saved the game after performing a bunch of airfield strikes, reloaded the saved game and then executed the turn without issuing any further orders. The casualty report showed that no losses had been suffered by either side even though thousands of aircraft had already been destroyed. The planes are no longer in the game. The bug is confined to the casualty report.

Cheers

Never save mid turn it's a huge bug overall.

I assume you mean the minor allies air groups. If your experience is low enough (under 60% or so) there's a chance only part of the ready A/C will take off. You can see this at an awful extreme with the early war Soviet air groups too.
