Direction to the transport types

Post by ColFrost »

Is there a convenient post or sheet to tell you which transport type (AE, AP, AK, AR...) is best for what? I haven't printed out the manual yet, and I seem to remember a great post here by Nikademus. But I can't find it using the search.

AP - Best for troops. Your only early war amphib unit. Gives the smallest bonus though.
APA - Later war (allies). Basically the same as an AP, but gives a better bonus to amphib ops (Less casualties upon unloading)
AK - Best for supplies/resources/crated planes/ARM/ART units.
AE - Ammunition Ship. Allows replenishment of 5in and smaller gun ammo in ships in smaller ports. Must be loaded with supplies I believe.
AS - Sub tender. Allows faster repairs for subs. Also allows torp reloads at smaller bases as long as a certain amount of supply is present. (20K I believe).
AR - Repair ships. Faster repairs on all ships in a harbor. The more you have, the better the benefit, up to a max of 4 per harbor. Over that and you see no increase.
LST - Also great for troops. Later war. Higher bonus than an APA.

Hope that helps...

What about AVD? That's fast Destroyer Seaplane Tender, correct?
