Moving buildings

Post by Reliable Royce »

OK, correct me if I'm wrong... but if you want to move a building from A to B this is the only way to do it...

1) Select the building location A using "mark".
2) Use "Paste" to copy contents of A to location B.
3) Use "mark" to Unselect location A.
4) Use "mark" to select a non-building location C (empty hex).
5) Paste C on A (so that A is "cleared" of the original building.)

If there is an easier way, I'm all ears.

Not sure if there's an easiler way... but that's the way I do it.

Yea, that what I figured... [:)] I'll send an email to Chaarman with some suggestions. Maybe he can modify the way building work.

Well the "City Assault" campaign mission is under development. At the moment I'm planning 11 missions - starting with very easy story telling missions at the beginning to a slug fest at the end.

Um, is there a limit to the amount of missions in a campaign?

I talked with Chaarman about this... Here is his wisdom...

When you place a building and then decide that you don't want it, you simple deselect the building graphic types... and click on the building again

Detail Steps:
1) Select "Small Houses"...
2) You will see that the four left house graphics are selected. Deselect them (by clicking on them).
3) When you have them all deselected, then click on the building... Voila. Deleted.

Want to reselect the graphics for the houses?
1) Click on the first house.
2) Shift-click on the last house... All in the middle will be selected.

All praise Chaarman... [:D]

Oh yea, the above trick for buildings works with Trees, Fire, Smoke, etc... as well!
