I doubt that.

I don't miss the little dooddle either, although it didn't negatively influence my window.

I think the fixed banner at the top is both an intrusive nuisance as well as helpful though.
Like many things though, it's only annoying when you don't need it.

The links do allow fast movement when you want them.

Just do a forum search for ticker you will see threads of complaints about it. I am just glad it is gone.

Well, we definelty never had a news ticker running here . I think some people are mixing this term "news ticker" up with something I assume was the missing line break tag in one of the table headers . That was fixed pretty fast IIRC.

There was a scrolling line of text...that said things like

KP and Tos:WS now avalible....EYSA now ready for preorder..and on and on
