When submarine is found all ASW aircraft are engaging

Post by yangym »

Sorry for my English.
I am playing chains of war and there is lots of ASW aircraft.
When submarine is found all ASW aircraft are engaging.
Even an aircraft of RTB state and bingo fuel.
and some of them crashed because of fuel shortage.
This drives me crazy.
Please, help me

Also double check the roe. It could be that they have orders to engage regardless of the location of the submarine

Also check the mission setup. If on a patrol mission and they are being told to engage targets outside of the patrol zone, but do not have a prosecution zone set up for that mission they will literally fly across the globe to engage. The game was a year or so old before we got prosecution zones and this was a common happening back then.

Be careful on prosecution zones in the latest update. I am not sure they are working properly. Its been reported a couple times and I am seeing aircraft ignore them. So might want to stick to patrol zones in the latest beta update or stay on the latest formal release.

PS...I have not tested the prosecution zones with ASW patrols, only on AAW and ASuW zones.

Good to know - I did notice some weird behaviour but have not been paying attention to it.

Tx - and long time no see - welcome back if you've been away.

Yes, the current prosecution zone issue applies to all mission types.
