Here's the full size of the image and now you can see the supply bubbles a lot better. Don and I are having a blast with this game.

Here's what's happening in front of Moscow. I'm trying to build a bulge and see if I can't reach Moscow with a single probe approach. So far it's not working out so fine. He has received a lot of reinforcements and his front lines are stout in places and progress has slowed to a crawl. It's possible Don is concentrating his forces near Moscow.

New moves from Don. This is what's going on near Kiev. I'm hoping to be able to trap most of the Soviet units on the west side of the river so I can kill them easier. Half of my planes are resting and a lot more of my troops are tired so I'm going to have to slow down the tempo a bit at leat for a while. My AS level is 27 and his is 8 so I've still got an advantage in the air. I'm having a tiny problem getting all the rail repaired that I need repaired. I'm trying to spread my RR arty out to the more important places if they can reach the hot spot.

Some notes on the scenario:

Don't see any mention in the News Summary about any shock levels or supply levels.
Maybe add some text for the event so we know what those levels are?
I have done this in my WIE scenario it's sort of like debugging, as I am sure you know, just edit the event and add text while we debug (playtest) this, like Soviet Shock 50%, and then the next event Soviet Shock 60% etc.

The German 57 Pzr Corp's units are white on Black, to me that is indicative of SS units. Unless all "mobile/panzer" units are black with white lettering? I also some some Gray Panzers, was not sure what the difference was. Personally I like the Army Panzers to be Grey and any SS to be black. But that is me.

Should not Novorossiysk (42,88 ) and or Kerch (39,84 and 40,85) be ports for Sea transport/evacuation?

Also, what about a port near (west side) of Rostov?

Not even sure if there is sea transport in this one lol.
Thanks a lot for this info. I'll get right on it and fix these things.

Don has agreed with me that we aren't too far along to do a restart so I fixed the things he found with the previous version and now we're using a newer version and I've started my turn 1 moves over again. I've moved several formations by the time this image was taken and it looks like things are going extreamly well so far.

I'm in the midst of the first round combat phase and I've discovered that the adjacent-to-the-target-hex units that don't participate in the attack can be put in a 'T' status and they will contribute 1/2 of their strength to the attack. Way cool beans. And of course, it works that way defensively as well.

Yep. Tactical Reserve is extremely useful for having a single unit potentially "cover" more than one hex in defense, but its efficiency is halved. Didn't remember it worked in attack, too, i thought the attacking unit switched automatically to "Move" stance.

Don went to the Toledo Air Show this past weekend and here's a picture of him standing next to a B-25 with some cool nose art. He says he's got a video to show us as well. He says he's got to get it off his phone first. I usually just email the picture to myself and then on my computer just download it.

You most certainly can't not feel the burn of my sun burns in that photo, my neck and legs are killing me! LOL

We even used sunscreen for Pete's sake!

I was most impressed by the US Navy Avengers, man those were much bigger then I imagined, and what freaked me out the most was how "protected" those air crews were, they were not! At least compared to the relative safety of my steel tank!

Love the B-25s. Used to be one at a small airfield nearby.

I've been waiting for moves from Don. I don't know what he's working on right now but I think he's got more than one opponent. I've been tweaking the scenario and I've got a 7.14.2019 version that I'm playtesting. You can have a copy of it if you'd like. I'll edit this post and attach it.

EDIT: Okay, it's attached.

I remember when I was a young boy, like 60 years ago now, an old all-black B-26, a wreck, empty of anything valuable, that the neighborhood kids and I would climb around inside and pretend we were on a mission etc. It was parked off to the side at Freeway airport on the SW surburbs of Tucson, AZ. The airport is an industrial park now. Anyway, one adult guy was walking by and saw us kids playing in it and he climbed into the pilots seat, on the left, and he said to us, "wow, there's not much visibility is there?". We agreed. I have no idea what happened to that plane but I think somebody must have bought it and parked it in the south field for shade for his cows.

Thanks Larry. My back is acting up so I can't sit at the computer for long but I'll look at it when I get a chance. Too bad I can't run TOAW on my tablet.

I love the old medium bombers and twin engine ground support stuff. Sad when one like you talk about doesn't get rebuilt. I go to the Offutt AFB airshow when they have it. It's not every year but fairly often. When I worked my place of employment was right under the runway flight path so we got to see lots of stuff even without the airshow. When everyone was wondering where the Prez was during 9/11 we knew. We saw Air Force One fly over when landing at Offutt with fighter escort. [:)]

Don't hurt yourself. Playing when it's not fun has a tendency to burn you out on playing the game.

sigh...it's still not right! I get it start up and then it freezes, how easy I thought this was going to be is turning into a bigger headache. If it won't start up properly I'll make another VM and try again...

Have you tried running in compatability mode as if it were WIN8? That's what I'm doing and it seems to be working fine.

Larry that is not the issue, I have corrupted Virtual Machines. I don't have the luxury to install on a real computer at the moment, so I do my 'stuff' on Virtual Machines.

One of the drawbacks is when they go sour they go sour...
