As people find things I fix them. Already the above noted map corrections have been fixed. WarPlan has a map importer system to allow players to grab a real map, set colors and import them. Then you just have to correct import errors and create the roads, rails, cities etc.

It is similar to the Strategic Command 3 Map Importer program which I created for them.

More than happy to give you my thoughts on depicting my home country Scotland. Once I see the full map i can add more.

Ports? Are they tied to cities/towns or can they exist separately? Do they come in different sizes?

Cities are not tied to ports. Ports and cities are resources and there is a mix of them.

Ports range in size of 1 to 9.
Ports have a range of 3 to 9 port defenses
Ports of 5 or more size can repair ships.

Port size determines how many supplies it can funnel into an area off of main supply.

Will this game have Sprites or just NATO symbols? The game looks great though. Definitely peaked my interest.

Looks like the default is mixed.

Land using NATO
Air and Sea using graphics.
To be honest that’s what I prefer.

I do have a package for NATO air counters which I tried. It was hard to distinguish between land and air forces on the map for players. So I used plane symbols. They are pretty obvious what is what.

I did a lot of research on user experience for this game to make sure everything is easy to use and understand.

Air units are....
Air superiority - only unit that can intercept
Interceptor, Escort, Fighter bomber advancements

Ground Attack Group - shorter range better vs land units
Close Support
Strategic Bombers
Naval Air
Sonar and Electronics

Tactical Group - longer range mix of strategic and land attack
Close Support
Strategic Bombers
Naval Air
Sonar and Electronics

Strategic Group - high strategic bombardment very long range
Close Support
Strategic Bombers
Naval Air
Sonar and Electronics

Air power looks promising.
Missing interdiction.

This game looks great. I disagree that it needs to be WEGO to stand out. It looks very interesting as is imo
If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?

It does have interdiction. Hitting units with air power reduces effectiveness and has a chance to reduce their movement. Air power does little physical damage to a unit.

Overall I think its an enjoyable game that I recommend.

I few observations from Beta testing.

1. Need an undo move key. I would like to take back a move that I did not intent. Obviously cannot do that with combats.
2. Weather graphics need to be more visible. Maybe have the screen go a different color with the symbols. Also I think the weather needs to be more variable. There should be a chance for clear weather, even a small one, for every month. Seems like predetermined bad weather from October through end of April without any hope of one clear weather turn.
3. Maginot line hexes should not be as powerful if attacking them from the rear areas.
4. Tried to go for a complete conquest of France. Took all cities and killed all units and France still had 2 morale left. Even took Corsica and that did not for a surrender. I was not interested in a negotiated peace.
5. Control of hexes needs to be more visible. Many times I could not determine which hexes I owned.
6. Love the specialty points to make units better.
7. Air power does not seem like it has alot of impact. This may be by design but I havent spent any production on air units.
8. I would like to see a battle report pop up after each attack made by the AI rather than have to hunt for battle results.
9. Compliments on an AI. Bold step just to have one.
10. Overall I highly recommend this game.

I've seen some comments regarding minor errors in England. I think the Mediterranean coast of Spain (and the Balearic islands) could be more accurate

Making a more accurate coastline will have much to do with the available tiles. The more tiles the more chances to get more accuracy. Does this game have more tiles than Strategic Command 3?

It does not have more tiles than SC. It has enough tiles to do with what you like without being overwhelming.

Malta double airfield, you have fighters and bombers. Or very quickly gaining superiority there, and the island by the Germans.
The same should be true of such Islands in other parts of the world.
