How to give up

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

How to give up

Post by STEF78 »

I received today this message and I'm upset. You can give up (no problem for me) but sending a message before in order to explain why would be appreciated.
My opponent was playing the axis of course.

"Dear STEF78

The following game has completed

Opponent: xxxxxxxx
Battle: 1941-45 Campaign - Alt CV
Turns: 27

This game is now complete but you can view a playback of the final turn by running Gary Grigsby's War in the and clicking Multiplayer. Select this game from the list of current games and click Play.

Don't forget you can post any technical questions, battle reports or comments on the game over at the Slitherine forums - www.slitherine.com

Regards,

The Game is played with the kindness, generosity and permission of your opponent.

Yes it would be great to receive an explanation rather than just go 'dark'. Perhaps one is still coming. As such I prefer opponents who like to chat.

All you can do is Fix Bayonets and Charge into the next game
Molotov : This we did not deserve.

Foch : This is not peace. This is a 20 year armistice.

I try to avoid ditching opponents, particularly in a game like this that requires so much time and attention. I can understand how someone who was getting thrashed would feel the urge to quit in a huff, though.
