If I may suggest, in north don't try to assault Leningrad from Narva. I would rather outflank him from right towards Novgorod. This will also force him to abandon position around Pskov.

All depends on how the Soviets react. But in the end it is still the short end of the stick for the Soviets no matter what the Germans do.

NORTH FRONT Turn 6-9

Battle of Narva

A lot of battles happened here so I didnt document everything. You can already imagined what happened, General Hoepner punch
a hole in the middle and forced his way trough. The air war was impressive in terms of numbers of aircraft who went out in
support. It was the biggest week of combat seen so far in the Battle of Narva and a decisive one. With 6 Rifle Divisions,
1 NKVD divisions and 1 Motorised, we can expect the battle of Narva to be over by next week.

The enemy will either have to come and try to rescue their divisions, abandoning their defensive line, wich would continue
the battle of Narva, or they will have to abandaon those divisions, wich I will destroy and be able to advance closer to
Leningrad. Making place for the Battle of Leningrad.

I was able to bypass the biggest strong point of the enemy directly in front of Narva, and will be able to safely ignore that
in order to attack Leningrad. The rail repair was diverted to that effect, to go trough Pskov instead of going for Narva.

You will find me sorry a little bit for lack of details this time around, its just that Im trying to deliver turns in a timely fashion to my adversary, and doing those takes a lot of time as we are playing trough PBEM, I cant keep the save file for myself and have all the time in the world to work them. Once the turn is sent, I dont have access to it anymore. So hope you can still enjoy the AAR :)

The horror....I think Manstein just turned over in his grave..... 😜

On a separate note, those might be the most perfectly color coordinated lines I’ve ever seen for the Germans. When I play Germans at this point in the game I basically have no lines and it looks more like a spilled bag of skittles......

Yeah Manstein is definitly turning in his grave haha. And I do like a proper front line.

Hopefully the winter wont be so bad but with reduced blizzard and Soviet +1, I can only hope for the worst. My south is looking bad with all the Axis Minors holding it by themselves ( at the very southern sector). Hopefully my German divisions I am sending there will arrive in time.

Dear lord! I haven't seen the Soviets on that side of the Dnieper in a long time. You good sir have given us a very interesting winter to watch. Your reports are top notch might I add, and are very enjoyable to read. It appears that with the line so far west in the South, the Soviets might attempt to capitulate Romania by capturing a town on their side of the border. That is what I would do anyways. In fact, I would make it my entire Blizzard focus because it gives me counters and takes them away from the Axis. I'm not sure what would happen to the new Soviet-Romanian units if the Axis took Romania back during the Spring.

Keep holding on though. I remember reading an AAR from a few years back that was in a worse position than you, that still got to Gorky in 44. Of course, he pocketed almost 2 million Red Army soldiers in the Pripyat Marches during 42...
