16 Years went by fast...

Post by Stonedog »

I received my 16th Anniversary coupon in my email today, was a nice one too! , 50% off any purchase at Matrix/Slitherine . When the glee of the 50% off died down the sudden shock of 16 years with Matrix and Slitherine hit me like a gut punch. Very glad of my discovery of these two website/Companies but holy sh%$ ! where the heck did 16 years go ??? I mean you play through G.Grigsbys ver of War in the Pacific 1 time and poof I went from 09 to 2019 in a blink of the eye. No clue where the other 6 years slipped by me......

Thank you Matrix and Slitherine both , for providing me with the platform to Purchase both physical copy , when that was way it was still done, and now Digital Downloads , of the games that help me de stress and bring me hours of enjoyment at a time. Occasionally I even learn a thing or two !

Gratefully ,

LOL and its totally out of my character to not constantly be posting or replying too. Might be the most impressive feat of self control in my life, heck I know it is, nothing else comes close !!! [:D]

Zak any chance you on Steam too ? The name/avatar combo seems familar to me, perhaps from KLOTZEN ! discussion area ???

I will have to go look but I think I am correct and you commented on a post I made to the dev there. Also maybe a comment on the Dev of Klotzen! update he put out yesterday I think it was ???

Well then, good to see you ! [:)] Extra Small World we live in as War Game "Hobbyist" , for lack of a better term, but rare that I bump into someone in such fashion as last evening and this evening. Still , a pleasure none-the-less! Look me up anytime I may be of any assistance to you, or for that matter to just say hello etc..., any time you wish . Well met and good to see you again. I am going to go try out Op Art War IV as it was my choice for best way to apply my 50% off Coupon , with Armored Brigade being a close second. Just not feeling the RTS games of this era like I did years ago and that was the deciding factor. Had TOAW II and loved it, so its time to upgrade and see what challanges they have presented to me in the latest version.

im not much of a player any more, and hardly touch the RTS seen any more, but always have the time to test something and comment one way or another, as my opinions are just that, mine but never been one to hold back just because it's mine, as i don't mind sharing it, even if i'm the only one at times with the same one or even a voice[:D]

enjoy what ever you like, as a day without some fun, is a long day wasted

I agree wholeheartedly. I often tell people if you do not wish to hear "My Version" of the truth then you better not ask me. Once you do though I will unload it till I feel they have been shown the error of their ways ! Haha !! I may be , and often am wrong in some minor way at least, but you can bet I believe in what I am saying and will fight to the bitter end on something I feel strongly in. That said, I will listen to most every point of view on a given subject and give it the proper weight it deserves.IF it is not screamed at me with vitrol and as a mass of ignorance in an attempt to simply overwhelm and exhaust me

I fully believe in this, proverb i guess you would call it maybe.. ???? .... Your mind is like a Parachute, it will only work once it is fully open." Almost kills me to admit and be wrong, but if I am, I am man enough to say so.

i've been proved wrong so many time i now quote i'm right only 50% of the time, and it's getting less, only a woman knows all, or so says my better more significant other half [:D]

and tbh she's right, she does know more than me and is right more often i must admit, and she a better play, so at times it pains me to say

I signd up here in 2001. Never got a coupon. Also there have been no descent wargames been released here since 2011 so I don't need a coupon thank you.

My last wargame was TOAoW 4 which has potential but in my view is a poor wargame.

Much the same story here. Registered in 2003 (actually was active prior to that, but changed email, etc.). Never have received anything, coupon or otherwise. Oh well, no system is perfect.

Those who haven't received emails for redeeming the Anniversary coupons, should check their spam boxes, as emails are always sent automatically in your account's Anniversary date.
Please also note that date might not be the same as the forum joined date.

No worries my friend. I'm not complaining at all. Somehow I've made it to 65, and there are a lot of games left to play. Like I said, Matrix tries, and no system is ever perfect. I continue to support them (when they publish something I'm interested in) coupons or no. (And yes, I do check to see if things get sent to the spam box.)
