Game Starting Problem

I am trying to start my WITP (Not AE) on my machine. Played two days ago. Now I get an error message that reads "Error: Can't Set Screen Mode" when I hit play.

My machine has Win 7 Premium for an operating system. I have had not problems running it in the past. It has run fine on this machine for four years.
I only wish I had you, the gentlemen of the pen, exposed for once to a smart skirmishing fire...
