Transport aircraft

Can I transport aircraft by ship like land units? How can I get aircraft units like fighters from one theater to another?

Use the "Operate" right click option with the unit selected.. A bit overgenerous since you can basically " beam" them to another continent in 20 days.

This will not permit US aircraft to cross Pacific to Hawaii from West Coast. So how can you move aircraft across the Pacific?

There are some oblong shapes in the middle of the country enabling movement from the east to west of the US. I haven't tried it yet but those may do what you are looking for.

Operating within US territory for aircraft is not restricted at any time, perhaps you simply had insufficient funds to Operate the air unit?
