Identify cargo load in AirOps window

Post by MaB1708 »

I have started this thread
https://steamcommunity.com/app/321410/discussions/0/1743353164076340670/
over at steam but would like to take it up here.
It is about the fact that we cannot easily identify the load status of a cargo capable unit in the 'Aircraft' window.
Look at attached picture pls:
Pls look at NH90 #1 and #4. Apart from the 'time to ready' they look identical. However in this situation #1 is loading cargo onboard while #4 is readying its loadout i.e. stores.
I am not able to make that destinction at a glance. I have to drill into each unit in question by either clicking the "arm" or the "un/load" button resp.
I would like to be able to see whats going on at unit level even from the "AirOps" overview. I thought about a colour coding,in an additional column maybe (see my humble experiment in next post) with a destinctive dot for
1. Loading status:
green dot= cargo capable, no cargo on board
yellow dot= cargo capable, partially loaded, no current loading or unloading activity
blue dot= cargo capable, currently loading or unloading
red dot= cargo capable, fully loaded
2. Loadout ready status:
violet dot= currently changing loadout

An easier way would be to have different Status in the "Status" column of air ops window.
Currently both (un)-loading and loadout swap are called "Readying". Change the wording to make a distinction, e.g.like so
"Readying" for loadout/store swap
"Loading" for ongoing loading activity
"Unloading" for ongoing unloading activity.
This solution however does not give information wether a unit already has cargo on board or not.
All the above also goes for "Boats" window and loading.
Thank you guys after all these years for a simulation that keeps me busy so much, keep up the excellent work!
Cheers,
Martin
