Desert War: The Next Scenario...

I'm headed to Florida tomorrow for a month's vacation. While there I will be working on the Eastern Front game...and something vacation-y...like a Desert War scenario. So what is your nomination for a Desert War scenario topic?

Operations Battleaxe and Brevity. I know that is two, but same map and not to many units either side. I think it would make an excellent addition.

Enjoying vacation and getting game things done. Sunshine, exercise, some Eastern Front next-game number crunching, a little VASSAL Scorched Earth/The Urals game play, and a healthy helping of Desert War scenario design. I picked Brevity as the next project. The OOB is complete...AI scripting is next...

I think the next Desert War scenario I'll commit to will be Salerno. This appears to be a very nice ebb-and-flow situation. Onwards!

Indeed. Over the past few days I've been doing a deep-dive on Salerno. This a GREAT wargaming situation that showcases all the capabilities of the Desert War engine--and provides the players a broad spectrum of game play. Land--Air--Sea--attack--counter-attack--counter-counter-attack. I have resisted the urge to make it a stand-alone game/scenario disk. For now? Prolly three Salerno-oriented scenarios in the next Desert War patch. Salerno is a chess game. It should be fun.
