I'm going to re-read the original Fantastic Four this week in his honor. The heroes he created were a big part of my childhood. What a life he had - Rest in Peace, Stan!

ORIGINAL: Erik Rutins

I'm going to re-read the original Fantastic Four this week in his honor. The heroes he created were a big part of my childhood. What a life he had - Rest in Peace, Stan!

I re-read two of my favourites last night - Avengers #6 (August 1964) and X-Men #9 (January 1965) . Avengers #6 is where the Avengers fight the original Masters of Evil (the Baron Zemo team). With the help of Paste-Pot Pete, the Avengers triumph when they switch natural foes (for example the Melter fights Giant Man instead of Iron Man).

X-Men #9 has the Avengers fight the X-Men while Xavier stops Lucifer from detonating a massive bomb. X-Men hold their own until Xavier triumphs over Lucifer, but it was close!

Cheers

I don't suppose they have any books with the whole series of a comics one right after the other? I never got to read many comics, but I was always fascinated by the Avengers. I had 2-3 comic books and the one I had of the Avengers was as Ragnarok was happening and the Inhumans? and the Avengers were getting together for some meeting. And Thor was getting back his hammer. And Quicksilver got mad and started bouncing off of people.

Wow! Thanks. And thanks for not making a smart remark like "Try amazon!" I know, I should have at least tried to find them.

Greetings to All,
I followed Ironman, Spiderman, the Hulk and the Destroyer by Stan Lee as a kid.
Enjoyed his Who Wants to be a Superhero reality show on Sci Fi channel several years ago.
It was quite campy and my wife and I roared with laughter at wannabe superhero Fat Momma with doughnuts hanging from her costume.
She can grow to five times her normal size when she gets angry, She has other abilities that can be activated when she eats a doughnut.
