It's not the fall that hurts. It's the sudden stop at the end. Went through the same thing last winter. Slipped on snow that was over frozen mud. Didn't even know I was falling till I hit the ground. Laid up for two weeks and still have not nor will ever fully recover. Old age sucks sometimes. Take care and do what the doc says. [;)]

I just got Willie's turn back. He did a very good job on the Italians last turn. This is all that is left on the Eastern Front.

This is the start of turn 277 (13 Feb 1944). Willie has again put a hole in AGN.

AGS. I no longer have the forces to hold the area east of the Siret river and will fight a delaying action between the Siret and Dniester river. My only hope to slow Willie down enough until the mud arrives. If I fail down here I will have to take a step back to the 1942 start line.

16 Feb 1944 summary.

For the pass 6-7 turns I have been using all my rail capacity to withdraw my forces from the Crimea and Ukraine. As can be seen from the overview I have been able to form a MLR well to my rear and I am in the process of forming a second MLR just west of the Pinsk Marshes. I currently have 3 panzer divisions screening the withdraw from the Ukraine and 1 from the Crimea. As a result of using all my rail capacity in AGS I have built up a large reserve around Berlin.

For the pass 2 turns Willie has been pounding AGN and it is now in danger of being overrun which would turn the MLR that I am building behind AGC. Depending upon how fast Willie pushes his forces I propose to form AGN next MLR upon either the first or second yellow line.

Why are so many troops around Berlin? Shouldn't they be at the front? [&:][:'(]
Great stuff to see the late game! Very cool of both of you! [&o] What's the German aim? Reach '45? Or do you think you can make it to the RL-date?

I have been using all my rail capacity to withdraw AGS and the top end of AGC.

In the next couple of turns my aim is to reinforce AGN (which has been shot to pieces) and make the MLR at least 3 hexes deep. I will then fill out the rest of the MLR.

I have to hang on for another 132 turns to win but I do not think I will be able to do that. Remember this is an early test version and the Germans are too weak and the Russians are very strong. This has been corrected in the current version. So at present my aim is to hang on as long as possible. But then you never know your luck in the big city. My voodoo doll may just work and Willie may make a mistake LOL. (just joking Willie)

The best I have ever done (FITE1) is the turn 380 something.
