Saturday was a sad day. As a football fan my thoughts go to the friends and family of those that died at Leicester.

Also wishing Glenn Hoddle all the best. Stay strong Glenn and keep fighting. You were a wizard on the pitch, let's hope the doctors can weave a little magic of their own.
Seconded.

Best wishes,
Steve

The goal vs Forest in 79 remains my favourite [&o][&o] but the goal vs United was a tad tasty too [&o]... as were the 18 others. He didn't believe in tap ins [:)] There's even a header too!!!! [X(]

No problem, the excutioner and his axe have just fixed the problem errr no.

Real Madrid enjoyed a nice cycle. It's over. And over means over... until they ride the next wave (this decade or the next one). The same old and boring story since football is football.

Football is a wonderful sport. Sometimes a few seconds remains of a game and a single kick can determine if the evening ends in total depression or complete euphoria. And if the events, or goals, had been in the reverse order the feelings would have been reversed as well.

The match ended 1-1, with the last goal in the last overtime minute on a free kick.

And there is still a decent chance to get the title this season. 4 points ahead with 3 matches remaining.

Thank you.

Tomorrow is the day when all is decided. Two points ahead and great goal difference. So a draw is enough to win the tittle.

What has me somewhat concerned is that not to long ago we were 8 points ahead. Things have been tough lately...

Still smiling, and thinking that football is a wonderful sport. [:)]

I have a hard time realizing that this is the 4th time that I have had the opportunity to see my team become the Swedish Champions. In my youth I, at times, doubted that it would ever happen. There was a way to long gap between the wins in 37 and 92. Although winning the Cup was some comfort.

Anyway. Cheers. And I do hope that you all enjoy some nice football in the near future.

AIK:

Swedish Champions (12): 1900, 1901, 1911, 1914, 1916, 1923, 1932, 1937, 1992, 1998, 2009, 2018

Swedish Cup (8): 1949, 1950, 1975–1976, 1984–1985, 1995–1996, 1996–1997, 1998–1999, 2009

The UEFA Nations League begins this week. It is an interesting idea by UEFA to try and make friendlies less meaningless. I hope it proves a good idea.
warspite1

......and what a thoroughly good idea it turned out to be [;)]

Great first half - should have been 2-0 up at least. Then second half was typical England - but no! We grew a set and came back at the Croatians.

See you in Portugal VP [:)]

Yesterday's game Switzerland vs Belgium was really a good game.
A lot of surprises. So yeah, maybe Nederlands will also be qualified for the final four.
