10 January 1938

The successful diplomatic pressure on Czechoslovakia, and the meeting with the West at Munchen has resulted in the Reich fulfilling her goals in Europe. We have given the West our assurances of peace in our time.

We are certain the few annoying issues that remain can be settled on the basis of the the new concord in Europe. The West does not want war, and the niggling matters remaining will be resolved soon. Certainly no one wants another big conflict.

Germany has already begun disbanding forces, including submarines and aircraft. We call on the French and British to join us in reversing the arms race.

Here is a map of Czechoslovakia, working together with the other members of the new Europe for a stronger union.

The war with the warlords continues. Japan has offered the peoples of Asia a Co-Prosperity Sphere which the feudal warlords resist. They are not interested in the prospects of a modern Asia. They only want groveling masses.

Quiet turn in Mother Russia with military purges internally the order of the month along with worker speeches pushing more productivity.

Some rumored diplomacy but no official news in Pravda.

Britain is very pleased to hear the overtures of peace. The scars of the last great war still remain and Prime Minister Chamberlain is fully committed to peace with Germany. England has tightened their bonds with France, maybe the time will come when the same can be said of Britain and Germany.

January 1938:

China: The unified Chinese army is committed to defend the country against the vile Japanese invasion. China is calling for international aid from all leading nations of the World. Both economic and military help is expected together with an international resolution to firmly condemn this Japanese aggression.

France is concerned about the situation in Czechoslovakia and is calling for an international conference to help stabilise the situation in central Europe and ultimately protect nation states sovereignty and strengthen ties between leading nations.

Axis notes : RN submarines spying off the coast think they see preparations for an invasion of the Netherlands. What they probably see are units in the process of reorganization. Both Germany and Italy are extensively restructuring their forces.

Japan is increasing the intensity of war-making in China. This war has been going on a long time, dragging out to the detriment of Imperial forces. We hope to occupy more Chinese territory, and to weaken the warlords opposing us. Japanese forces, well supported by modern weaponry have split China in two with forces in the east cut off from supply. Here is the butcher's bill.

France: The President Albert LEBRUN is proud to launch a package of measures of stimulation of the economy. New social laws have also been voted to grant more rights to the workers. In parallel, a vast program of army modernisation has started nationwide. In terms of foreign affairs, France has decided to grant technical assistance to China in its war with Japan.

In an effort to help their ally in their modernization of military equipment, Britain has sent over some of their state of the art aircraft and artillery for display. General Gort will also conduct joint military drills in Urban defense. Due to the civil war boiling on Frances borders, Prime Minister Chamberlain thought it wise to prepare for the worst possibilities. Thankfully, there's no need to worry about Germany given their deep desire for peace.

Due to Germany's declaration of peace, Prime Minister Chamberlain has led strong initiatives towards industrial growth. Throughout the Empire strong efforts were made to increase production and efficiency. But Chamberlain made it clear to the world with the shipments of armaments to China that aggression isn't the future. Japan needs to see the wisdom of Germany as the only road possible.

Britain is appalled by the continued aggression of Japan. Not only have the abuses of the Chinese people have stirred up the ire of the Crown, but also fear of Japan's aggression turning on Royal interests. Britain has dispatched a large fleet to the Pacific as a precautionary measure.

The following note has been delivered to the Soviet embassy in Tokyo.
Greetings Comrades,

It appears you may be having thoughts of making war on Turkey. You are the most favored nation there so a semi-random selection would be done to pick some defender. You could find yourself at war with the Axis.

If you do go to war with Japan simply hold your place, offer Japan peace. I will accept, and only Germany and Italy will make war on you.

You may want to pursue diplomatic means rather than go to war with the Axis or Allies in Turkey. Whatever coallition you fight in Turkey is pledged to vigorously defend Turkish interests.

The Chinese are fighting their war with Japan, as they have done for years. The United States has decided at this late date to embargo shipments to Japan. Great Britain has decided to aggravate the situation by sending naval units into areas where they have no business.

Japan and China continue to fight. What has changed? The incidents which led to the Sino-Japanese war are clear, and there is nothing special about the present state of the conflict in Asia. However there is a large change in Europe. Germany has been actively been disarming. Aircraft and U-boats have been dismantled. Fortifications have been destroyed. This does not seem to please the Anglo-Saxons who suddenly see a way out of their economic woes by flirting with world war. Germany will not allow the British and their puppets to lead the world into war. We see the massive build up of French forces. Germany will defend herself, and the west should not count on Germany passively waiting to be struck.

The situation in north China :
