Morning Sean.

I've got all the French artwork and it SHOULD be on the site. Let me look around and we'll fix this. Will Post when done.

We are far enough into our game to ask if you have found other issues. I have a small list for the Japanese.

Too many Japanese ships, troops, and planes. Your mod actually makes things difficult for the Allies and I don't like that! [:D][8D]

Yup, can confirm that the Liz and G. 6 class art is still missing. I'm aware of the Liz from John's bombing campaigns in China. Hopefully, someone in the community can make some nice art for the G. 6 Class.

I don't like empty Art. I want to replace at least SA on any CA Art, CVL on any CVL Art. Liz on Betty for example. How to do it?

I'd love artwork for the pre-CV CVL G.6's too. It's a bit eerie bombing empty space in a combat replay. Maybe that's why I kept missing them. [:)]

GOOD POINT. You weren't supposed to notice that.

Evidently both AARs have been going back-and-forth regarding the G.6 Class of Hybrid Cruiser. Michael Posted an excellent layout of deck armor and I thought we'd start with that:

Let me bring the facts from Editor on the inability to penetrate the G.6 CVL with some bombs.

Belt - Deck - Tower:

G.6 CLV = 140 - 60 - 100
G.6 CV (conversion) = 140 - 60 - 25

Shokaku CVs = 165 - 60 - 25

Akagi Class = 250 - 57 - 25

Indomitable Class = 112 - 75 - 0

Lexington Class = 128 - 50 -50

Yorktown = 100 - 37 - 100

Bombs:
1000 lb SAP = 117mm (penetration)
1000 lb GP = 58mm
500 lb GP = 37mm

250kg SAP = 71mm
800kg SAP = 174mm

*Note*
When you look at the armored deck value (75) of the Brit CV you see the 250kg (71) is not enough to penetrate.

The 1000 lb GP value is 58, so unable to penetrate the deck of the G.6 (60).

Am, I wrong here?

With more-and-more play time spent within the Between the Storms Mod, I am beginning a fairly serious update to the Mod. Over in the AAR, we have had a serious discussion over the Japanese 4EB LIZ. Completely agree with a batch of educated commentary there and have done some downgrading the Liz to reflect the engine issues. I've lightened the payload, slightly reduced the range, and lowered the cruising speed.

Take a look:

Have worked to fix the conversion problem with the Japanese CAVs. They will not convert over to the full CV. I figured out that there was an upgrade dated at the same time as their conversion and this caused issues for the conversion.

Am still debating on the deck armor conversation regarding these two ships. My source indicates two+ inches of deck armor so that number appears correct. Strong enough to hold out a 1,000lb GP bomb but not an AP.

Loaded the revised Mod so we can see the same screen and not the Editor page. The Editor page can lead to misunderstandings:

Had some down time today and did re-writes of the BTS: Lite and Heavy to explain the changes and differences in the Mods on the RA website. Think they make better sense...

With turns coming in super slow from Sean, I have taken some serious time and done a comprehensive new page on the ship additions/changes to the Between the Storms Mods:

Kaigun: I have the Japanese done throughout the period from 1922-1941--20s, Circle One, Circle Two, Circle Three, Circle Four, and Circle Five. This should provide total clarity to the Japanese starting fleet and ships building.

United States: The Treaty additions as well as pre-war additions are fully detailed.

France, Australia, New Zealand, and Dutch additions are included.

Took about four hours to do and it is the first time I have gone through the BTS: Lite and Heavy in this manner. Pretty illuminating...

A strange Conversion CL Aoba-Class to CLAA-Class cruiser. AA will decrease from 222 to 197.
