OT: Radio City Music Hall and WWII

Post by rustysi »

Last weekend I was in Manhattan and decide to finally take a behind the scenes tour of Radio City Music Hall. Well turns out the stage has a pretty interesting elevator system. So much so it seems the Navy got interested and contacted the facility and Otis (the builder) to check out the technology. Seems some of it may have been used in our CV designs. Radio City lore now states that as a result the stage was classified as 'top secret' during WWII.

Haven't been able to verify that as yet, but still think its an interesting tidbit.

But what if I want to go from the top floor to the ground floor?

Procedure for going from the top floor to the ground floor:

1. Locate Window
2. Open Window
3. Exit Window
4. You are now on the ground floor.

Any questions?
