Windows 8

Its been a LONG time since i was here.I now have the game installed on a Win 8 (64 bit) system and am getting some really odd goings on.I can have my turn then for the enemy turn it seems to lock up.Also when i am attacked i am getting a messed up screen and i cant see whats going on.Is there a patch of fix for playing on win 8?
