Thoughts and hopes

Post by wodin »

Watching the stream has really got me excited about this game.

First thought was on for a rewind button feature, even if unlucky last few mins of game time.

Next was on for WW2 version.

I also remember a mod of free version was like a steam punk WW1 and I do hope the game is as modable now as it was then. Love a steam punk WW1 mod again. If I recall was loads of more for game

The game has remained moddable as it was back in the past, actually even more so since we have developed, for example, a database editor and some other tools that should greatly facilitate such endeavor.

Great news.

I remember one person in particular churned out mods..including a WW1 Steam Punk mod and I think a Warhammer kind of mod!! Can't remember their name though or what page they where released on, well forum it was.

Nice, always would like a hardcore Warhammer 40K wargame.

Very much looking forward to this game as is at the moment. Easy modding is an extra treat.

It was Perturabo, wodin - he also made several steampunk scenarios for Command Ops.

Regarding the game, it looks great, but I would have certainly be more excited about this if it supported asynchronous multiplayer over the PBEM++ system. I guess other subsystems of the game were prioritised.

Good luck with the final stretch, I will be sure to check it out!

It is a real time with pause game, so Asynchronous Multiplayer would be impossible.

Great. Go and tell Battlefront that their Combat Mission games are impossible and shouldn't exist.

They have a simultaneous mode where you issue orders and wait for them to carry out, which works for asynchronous multiplayer.

How do you think asynchronous multiplayer works when you are able to pause at any time and issue orders at any time. The time stamped mode mentioned for Armoured Brigade, pauses at certain intervals, but you can still issue orders at any time, hence why I said it would be impossible.

You answered your question in the previous sentence. Have a good afternoon.
