Créate a new TF?

Have one jap surface combat tf with dif cruisers just one hex from my 3 carrier tf. What is more adviceable créate a new surface combat with all bbs, cas and leave it in the Same hex waiting or attack the jap tf or keep those ships in the air combat tf and try to move them away

If you want to keep the CV's where they are, I would create a SAG and let them sit with the CV's. Or attack. But why didn't your CAG just attack the enemy ships before they got that close? Make sure you have some of your CAG on NavSearch. I set about 20 to 30% on NavSearch....GP

Definitely move away. If CVs waste too much op points during combat, they will not send strike. You should probably split them, into single CV TFs.

As for Surface Combat TF, depends what you have, and the date. If this is early, your BBs have grim chance against Japanese CAs. Especially at night. So it will be better to use them as shield in case of surface combat with your CVs.

The start of your next turn will be night time...Send your carriers away with anti-sub escort and send a surface force to hit that enemy asap, with commitment level "6"...CV's don't have the guns nor hull armor to go into surface battle and only have speed working for them, (except for those CVE types).

If you are confident of what your opponent has in that force...whup his ass!
