Different between replacement rate and production rate

Post by Lawless1 »

In the Aircraft Replacement Pool window, what is the difference between replacement rate and production rate for the allies?

IIRC someone stated in a post that one of the rates is what is used off map or behind the scenes fo
building a/c that aren’t build in LA, San Diego or Seattle

For some the rate is listed as 0 for both, so does that mean no a/c is being built

"Replacement" aircraft just show up as they become available. When the end date for the aircraft is reached, they stop showing up.

"Production" aircraft come from factories which you see on map. This has little practical effect, as the aircraft show up just like "replacement" aircraft. BUT the "production" aircraft factories will convert to a newer type the end date for the current aircraft is reached. (They may take a few days to convert, and will continue to produce the "old" aircraft until they convert.) As a result, these factories continue to produce for the whole game, upgrading over time, to newer models of aircraft.

Does that help?

Also..."Replacement" aircraft are not effected by any factories being destroyed as they are assumed to come from off-map factories.
God made man, but Sam Colt made them equal.
