The Black Pearl appears in WITPAE

I stumbled across The Black Pearl of WITPAE when I liberated Soerebaja in early '45.


In the hex is a mini-sub that keeps sinking beneath the waves and resurfacing.

My TFs in the hex keep encountering it, sometimes as often as 2-3 times per phase.
The same thin happens each time.
There is no combat, but the text in the combat report states that a given ship is firing on the sub and that the sub sinks beneath the waves without taking any hits.


Immediately following this it happens again with another TF in the same phase.
It happens in the night phase and again in the day phase.

This has been going on now for about three straight days.

This sub is a ghost ship for sure and I've dubbed it the Black Pearl.

I've had the exact same thing happen to me in three successive campaign vs AI games. ONE location with spawning SSX, the location changed for the different games. The only constants are: latest official patch, and Babes B with additional Asian roads, map changes, and the last update with altered PI and Aussie OOB.
