Fastov 1943 - released !

Post by nikdav »

I just upload Fastov 1943 scenario and hope you like it.
http://www.vrdesigns.net/scenario.php?nr=281

In november 1943 the best german divisions led by the best german chain of command (Manstein, Raus, Balck, Manteuffel, Nehring,.......)were incapable to regain the initiative on the eastern front. The war was really lost !
----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Fastov 1943 v.1.0
5km Division/regimental level; 30 turns;
From 15 november to 15 december 1943.

After the loss of KIEV the german restored a frontline after loosing the two vital supply depots of FASTOV and ZHITOMIR.
On 15 november with many german divisions in heavy fights, Hitler dismiss General Hermann Hoth and placed General Erhard Raus to command 4th Panzer Army and appoint General Hermann Balck to command XLVIII Panzer Korp just redeployed toward Zhitomir and Fastov to stop the soviets.
Two strong Divisions from the West Front, the 1ss Leibstandarte led by General Theodor Wisch and the 1st Panzer led by General Walter Kruger were assigned to Balck with the order to stop the soviets and regain the initiative.
Raus 4th Panzer Army HQ is on BELAJA TSERKOV.
The LIX Korp led by General Kurt von der Chevallerie defend KOROSTEN.
On the center the XIII Korp led by General Alfred Hauffe hold the thin line Southwest of ZHITOMIR.
The VII Korp led by General Anton Dostler (from 30 november by General Eberhard Hell) defend the line south of FASTOV.
The XXIV Panzer Korp of General Walter Nehring defend the DNIEPR line.

...to help rescuing one regiment of 8th Panzer Division encircled...

The Emergency Unit Card work well but strangely don't use the PP points, i don't understand why.

Ciao Davide!

Helluva job! But I get the message, that I need DC community project 0.92, and I only can find 0.91e on Vic's website. Perhaps I am missing something?

That is an Officer Card. Officer Cards do not use PP, these Officer Cards use Command Points of the officer that played them.
