Merauke - Check your moonlight levels. If its over 50% I would try a massive night bombing of AF to try to destroy some of those damaged HB.

I'll have to check the moonlight %. I seem to think it's kind of low. But that is a good idea. I got the turn back last night but it'll have to wait until I come home from work this afternoon.

This work stuff is eating into my WitP time. Priorities are all wrong. [:D] Two more years...

I'm always afraid that the ASW TF will leave the carrier behind.

It should slow to allow the following TF to keep up. At least that's what I've always thought.

Pretty boring turn, actually.

Aren't they the best kind. It means you didn't loose anything.[:D]

This has been my workhorse for surface and ASW action throughout the war in the SE Fleet AO.

Do they carry the type 2 DC's? These are Japan's best. IIRC they don't.

28 B-24s hit Boela’s oil field damaging 18 of the 25 oil fields.

Mike, Mike, this is what Rufe's and Nick's are for, backfield defense. You could maybe even have some Rex's and Randy's by now. Maybe some AAA. They may not stop everything, but could maybe throw off his aim and save something. At least exact your pound of flesh.[:D] OK, maybe next game.

But for now think about what targets he's going to be upon next, and try to prepare them with some defenses. I think these will be more important to you. Think defense in depth.[:)]

Zuikaku safely made Ulithi today.

How far is that port from Manus? At level 6 if he's in range and gets eyes on Ulithi and strikes the port kiss those carriers good-bye.

Burning all that fuel to use 10 SSTs to drop 180 supply...
The Allied 2E bombers took out the remnants of the Wewak garrison, the 4 South Seas Garrison and 58 JNAF AF Unit. They’ll be rebuilt.

IIRC some Japanese SST will carry at least 40 supply each. I think some of the latter ones will carry a bit more. I know still not much, but delay, delay, delay, is after all Japan's motto.

I'm pretty certain there are longer, but last year Walter and I finished after 5 years and 2 months.

Type 95 Mod 2 I'm pretty sure. Better than nothing. Just about all of my Type 95 ASW ships are patrolling shallow hexes. I really need more ASW. Can't have enough of it right now.

Hmm, never thought of that. I'm in new territory here. Never got remotely this far along in the game. Spring 43 was the farthest before this game. I'll start moving fighters to other oil fields. AA is present at them already. I never bothered with those two little ones. I never expected them to last anywhere near this long.

Ulithi is out of range fortunately. No recon there at all.

I'm currently at 4 years, 11 months in my Bullwinkle/Obvert game.
