No long range fire

While playing La Fiere Causeway, I noticed the American units never used long range fire. The AI passed on a 8 firepower attack with a 8-1 leader directing fire on a brush hex 6 hexes away.

Depends on the terrain in the line of fire

I had 2 squads in brush with no hindrances between units at a range of 6 hexes. 2 7-4-7 and a half squad would have had a 8 firepower attack with a 8-1 leader directing fire.
