Soccer Kids Trapped

Post by kevinkins »

Opening up a thread for ideas on how we can pull together to get these kids out. Command attracts the best and the brightest. We are all thinking about this massive news story so post ideas here and maybe a solution can be found.

Terrible news but this really isn't the appropriate forum for it.

I checked The Silent Service scenarios but I don't think we could get a sub in there.
Maybe TSS Landing Party has a few clues but it is looking a bit grim.
SEAL Commando - Air might be an option
as are SAS Commandos - except the ones with the black box heads!
Checked the database for sanctimony and tokenism but no weapon attacks this unfortunately.

Maybe we should stick to discussions about CMANO.

I think this is a good tangent. Navy can be the sentry for rescue team and analyze the environment, so to provide more rescue solutions.

The kids in a cave situation can also be used to a sunk ship, where survivors are still in it. Relying sonars, frogmen and UNREP to rescue specialists are also the main job to the naval vessels. I would sincerely doubt if military or coastal authority would not send capable ships at first hand.

So I was actually thinking about this and rather than a large tank on the kids back seems like a vest with multiple smaller tanks/bladders would work better getting them trough the tight places with less chance of panic. If an experienced Thai SEAL died in the rescue attempt it doesn't look good for inexperienced kids [:(] . I'm sure some of the best rescue minds in the world are working on this is hopefully they pull off a miracle! Prayers.

I agree, this doesn’t belong here.

Since we discuss techniques aimed at killing thousands of people, I did not think a discussion about techniques to save lives would be an issue. I only had the best intentions. Perhaps the situation is so dire, its not right. Moderator, please delete this if you deem the topic inappropriate for the forum - some already have. Thanks.
