M/A 43 Axis 7
Germany and Japan land. Italy combined.
German Do-217's decide on a day-trip to tour the historic naval dockyards of Plymouth. Do the Allies wish to scrutinise traval permits with either the RAF Spitfire IX at Plymouth or the USAAF P-51B east of Portsmouth. No German fighters available to counter.

Both the fighters are used. The CW fighter is the front fighter.
If they survive the US lands in the hex it flew from, and the CW lands in Portsmouth.
And a reminder that CW has still a pilot to collect if a CW pilot should be lost now.
If surprise points makes avoid combat a possibility, then combat will be avoided.
Thank you.

Surprise rolls: Non-phasing (Allies I think) 10, Phasing (Axis i think) 9.
A short inconsequential air combat follows.

Minimal AA fire does nothing to the attacking bombers, who first manage to damage the US AMPH. Where do the Allies want to place the first A?

On the damaged AMPH, if possible. Otherwise on the CA.

Italy sends fighter to the East Med 2-box. Another fighter goes to West Med 2-box where it is joined by an Italian task force of 2 BB, 4 CA and the Italian TRANS loaded with the German MAR.
Italy initiates combat in Eastern Med with the fighter. A 2-oint NAV reacts into the 2-box.
CW can add

Italians commit their subs.
Searches: Axis 10, Allies 5. No combat.
No other air.
Italy rails INF from Rome to Bordeaux.
Japan moves INF Divs into Borneo and Sarawak. The MAR moves up to the partisans on the Chinese border.

Germany shuffles units in USSR front line.
German MAR is ordered to invade somewhere. For some reason they don't invade, instead they debark to Genoa.
The only land combat is Japanese automatic attack against partisan on Chinese/Manchurian border.
Germany rebase FTR2 from Paris two hexes northwest. FTR3 and FTR2 from Königsberg to USSR front near Vitebsk.
Italy rebase Stuka from Turin to Salerno.
Germany reorg NAV in France.
Turn continues on a 1.
Back to the Allies.
