Please improve the search function

The forum here is very good overall (yes, I like the old fashioned, but quickly loading design. I hate eye candy websites you have to wait an for), but there is one thing that is very poor, and that's the search function, which often gives no results or only a very limited number (max 200IIRC).

It would be great if that could be improved. I can give more detailed feedback of where the deficits lie if necessary.
