Allies bomb Temuloh with heavies, and despite great fighters there I can barely scratch the B17, but do down a few LB still flying. Then the Lightnings come in and have a field day on the Tojo and A6M3s. Sigh.

No Carrier clash today...I reinforced the KB with more fighters from local bases...

I know I'm getting a little ahead, but the collapse of Malaya is just a matter of time. I know you will do everything to delay it. However, how goes the defenses preparations for the greater SRA/DEI afterwards? There seems to be lots of places for him to go and you have too many places that need defending.

You are not getting ahead of yourself...I suspect the next target will be either Balikpapen or Tavoy to Rangoon.

And, no I am not ready. The Empire is a mess with tons of ships in the unsafe dockyards, almost no upgrades done, the Allies pushing with superior force in both the Aluets and in Malaya.

Dark days.

Someone pointed out that other allied very valuable locations, such as in Australia, may be undefended completely now.

I'm not sure he can spare the forces to do a raid to Oz

He lives or dies in the DEI.

If he can get a favourable carrier clash, or have a modicum of luck in a surface battle, then he can still kick out the allies, but its going to be a struggle unless he can pull of a major naval victory asap.

You have to remember that with Russia active, he doesn't have that pool of reinforcements to draw in from Manchucko.

He's doing amazingly well to stay focused and relatively cheerful considering his position.

AND having US base forces and 4-E bombers based in Manchuria/ Soviet Union.

I would never play a game without house rules.
I am not that good a player.

Hats off to Lowpe for sticking with it...

Allies continue their relentless pursuit forward....I spotted the invasion force yesterday, and elected not to send in my one BB, one CA and CL force here to contest it. If anything I would have sent in a CL/DD force to skirmish, but I cannot afford any losses really.

Heavily escorted Nells elect not to sortie, and my sub force is of course detected and countered.

You want me to take my unrestricted troops, which can't even establish a perimeter, and go across the map to fight his restricted troops?[&:]

There is only one thing left to do: A great BANZAI suicidal charge towards the West Coast with ALL your troops. Go out in a blaze of glory![:D]

No, it is really all gone, the only thing is to try and buy time. Too many troops are in effect in POW camps guarded by a fraction of their strength behind enemy lines while the Allies can push forward in strength concentrated, and I am dispersed....which is the story of this game to a very large degree.

I doubt the Yamoto can do anything significant except eat lots of sub launched torpedoes.

There are only two tank regiments in all of Burma/SRA...and no chance of getting more.

In five days the Hiyo appears, and 15 the Yamoto. 4 BB are getting fuel at Brunei...no chance to intercept the Allied armada headed for Patani...which is probably a good thing to be honest.

The point is: does he have troops there at all??

Would be nice to muster the strength to do something like that, but I suspect the climatic clash will come in a a few months around Hainan to Formosa.

Of course, the Aussies have a ton of restricted troops.

And what would it accomplish? I bet Obvert would supply me the shipping to attack Australia.[:D]

Are you allowed to still refer to it as the Southern Resource Area? [:D]
