RE: Making & naming "Unit Handbook" graphics files & adding them to the "pictures" folder
Once version 2 of CSME was out earlier in the year and unit handbook / unit view art files could be saved as 24 BIT BMP files I started work on my first set for Syria. When this is finished every item in the Unit viewer will have its own 156 by 106 pixel image that will also appear for that unit in the Unit Handbook. I also plan to do a separate national emblem set for the black white and green flag and roundels etc that were used by the Syrians in the 1948 war. I have also decided to dispense with the national flags in the top right hand corner of the images as I have other plans for that location.
I have been working by way down the Syrian Unit viewer set and with 166 images done so far have got to the end of the boats section and am about to start on antitank guns. Here are some examples, first off with what they look like in the unit viewer starting with the Syrian home grown T34/122mm self propelled howitzer.

In those few instances where I have not been able to track down a suitable color image to use I have employed a black & white photo instead as seen here in this unit viewer picture of a ZIL131 truck mounting the UMZ SCATMINE system.

When the mod is released it will come with a word table document giving details what each of the files represents and also a document detailing picture sources.
Enjoy

That is awesome, Ian!!
Officially, we aren't allowed to do that (due to copyright issues), but as a player built mod, that's no problem. (I believe).

RE: Making & naming "Unit Handbook" graphics files & adding them to the "pictures" folder
Hi Guys
It has taken a bit longer than anticipated but having reached an image total of 240 I think its time for another update on this project. I have now got down as far as the start of the towed artillery . Here are some examples of work done since the last update when I had got down to rafts and boats.
First off here is an unit viewer screenshot of a B10 recoilless rifle

And finally a SAM7 Grail MANPAD team.
It is now onward and upward to heavier artillery and rocket launchers, FROG's & SCUDS before we finally get to the PBI and their associated weapons.
Enjoy

RE: Making & naming "Unit Handbook" graphics files & adding them to the "pictures" folder
Hi Guys
Here rather later than I had hoped is the first public release version of my Campaign Series Middle East Unit Picture mod. (referred to here as “CSME UPM”). It provides pictures for game units that show up in the image boxes (that currently have their nationalities, national map and flag in) in the games “Unit Handbook” and its “Unit Viewer”. This initial release version provides a complete picture set for Syria only. To get it click on the dorpbox link below.
https://www.dropbox.com/s/c7ovhk5htfjqg ... .zipx?dl=0
To install the mod open the zip file called “Pictures” in a secure location, and use Control/a then Control/c to select and copy all 395 bmp. files in it. Then in the main directory of CSME open the “Pictures” folder and then use control/v to drop the files into it. It is as simple as that.
Enjoy.
Any comments, suggestions or ideas as to where I can find better images for particular weapons, vehicles or units would be gratefully appreciated. If these could be posted in the Matrix games forum please?
Kind regards
Ian

Hi Guys
I have been making some further progress with adding the Israelis to this mod with the actual tanks all now done. Here are some examples of that they look like in the game.
First off Israeli M1 Sherman tank seen in the unit viewer
