It is best if you copy your game folder and then drop there your new map files. That way you can have both. Don't forget to put another icon in desktop.

Cheers for quick response Dili

Thing is when I put the 'new' map files in the ART folder even though the 'new' map is completely different I just have the stock map over and over.
I have to be doing something particularly stupid LOL

For instance, I'm trying to, load the Bellum Pacifica Map but I just seem to get the stock game map....???

Definitely make a copy of your entire game folder.

Are you accidentally dropping it into a sub folder of the art folder?
The map mod files are named after the originals so it should ask you if you wish to copy over the originals.

Do you have "permissions" to change files in the game folder?

Hi there,

The files are going direct in to the ART folder.....no subfolders involved at all.
When I copy the files it asks to replace which I do.
For the maps I want to use it always uses WPEH00-WPEH41 but the WPEN00-WPEN41 don't get touched. I may be wrong but I think the WPEHxx and WPENxx are for hex and no hex.
The maps I'm trying are Bellum Pacifica V3 and Kamikazi. Both separately and not at the same time but regardless I get same results.

AHHH!!! Is your game option "No Hexes"? The maps are made for "with hexes"

Welcome.

Bellum Pacifica has sea hexes.

Kamikazi has no sea hexes.

Thanks,

Bellum Pacifica Kamikaze is a combination Of Chemkid's Sunny Day map and the original map. With the Sunny Day map having the main focus.

Bellum Pacifica is also a combination Of Chemkid's Sunny Day map and the original map.
With the original map having the main focus.

The Kamikaze is my favorite!
