Target Type

Post by Isoko »

Hi everyone.
I have a question.
It's target type.
I want to change target type.
I searched the forums.
But I didn't find it.
How do I change it?

If you mean this one, we can't change it.

Being unable to change the target type restricts modders, for example at the moment there is only one sub-slot for units If modders want to be able to create a modern-day campaign, you need at least 2 sub-target types SSN ( Attack Subs/ Hunter Killers ) and SSBN ( Ballistic Missile Subs ) plus these subs need to be able to target RESOURCES! As subs can't at the present time.

I agree, but have to acknowledge that since Hubert and the development team have been otherwise so flexible allowing modders to mod, they are probably painfully aware of this one rather fundamental limit. I'd wager it is due to a deep intertwining of unit-type within the game-engine that makes it very difficult to allow modders to change it without all sorts of unintended side effects.
