Hot Patch Version 02.08.03.00

Attached is a zipped file that contains the new MWIF.exe: version 02.08.03.00. It also contains the Release Notes shown below.

The reason for this hot patch is to fix a problem with setting up naval units at sea.

Release Notes for Version 02.08.03.00

All Modes of Play

1. Fixed a general problem with returning carrier air units to their carriers.

2. Corrected a problem with returning carrier air units to carriers when there is only one carrier air unit returning to base and there is only one carrier on which it can land.

3. Fixed a problem with setting up units at sea. This problem was due to 3 lines of code for “Vichy French units not being permitted to stay at sea unless Vichy is hostile” being in the wrong place.

Steve, there is a problem with this version.

I had a German ground strike air combat which resulted in USSR fighter being aborted, German TAC being destroyed, leaving the German fighter.

It did not advance to the point where the fighter could return to base.

Unfortunately, there was no autosave file to recreate it. The last autosave was the Ground Strike CAP.

On trying to recreate, similar, but different results:

Stuka destroyed

Yak-3 aborted

RTB for German BF109 fighter skipped, leaving it on (46/63 USSR) with both the fighter and USSR IL 2M3 bomber on the combat space and went to CW-IT air battle.

This time, the air battle ended with both IT BR.20 bomber and CW Spitfire fighter left on the CW/US (74/41 Sicily) hex.

At the end of this, the file can not be saved and the phase can not complete.

Those two problems are related.

What should I see when I view my game version in order for me to be current? I just did a reinstall of the entire game and it shows 2.7.1 as game version.

Should it say 2.08.03?
