Syrian SS-1c SCUD B SRBM

Post by Big Ivan »

Dev Team,

Found what I think is a data glitch with the Syrian SS-1c SCUD B.

The on map range for this SCUD in a scenario is 100 hexes. But in the Unit Viewer Weapons to Range Chart the range is specified as 160 hexes!?

100 hexes 25km or ~16.6 miles seems a bit short for one of these babies so I figured I better get a clarification. There may be a game abstraction here I'm not aware of.

Cheers!

This is a bonafide bug. Good spotting, John!

This will be corrected in the 2.02 UDPATE (meaning after Vietnam is released)

Hi Jason,

As a follow up I set up a small test scenario where I employed all the SRBM's represented in the game.
They include:

Egyptian: FROG-3, FROG-5 and FROG-7.

Iraqi: 9P117 Uragan TEL and ZIL-135 TEL.

Syrian: FROG-7 and SS-1C Scud.

From what I can see they all have Unit Viewer range of 160 hexes but an in scenario range of 100 hexes. Looks like its an across the board bug.

I'll send my test scenario to you for review in a private e-mail as this forum will not let me attach a zip file. Good we found this one!

Regards,
