Aerial Mining - knowledge database

Post by Dili »

For the knowledge database.

The aerial device mine slot for Allies is 1652
The aerial device mine slot for Axis is 1713 - this was confirmed by Dali.

Any change to these slots to other type of device implies loosing this capability in the game.

Hope this helps.

I also believe there is a date restriction on aerial mining. It is in the Manual.

Never mind that the date is "wrong" in the sense that mines could be used earlier,
we cannot change the code. Be aware of the date restriction if you use these devices.

yeah, one of those unexplainable things in AE, wasting code when device date is enough.

Performed my very first aerial mining missions last weekend and was surprised by one aspect.

I had my B29s set to 9k to avoid balloons. They dropped to 3k to deploy the mines and ran into balloons.

Guess balloons will always be an inherent risk on aerial mining missions due to the need to drop to 3k to deploy the mines.
