Cool. I wonder what his next project will be? Maybe try and find USS Lexington?.... or perhaps Saratoga's sister Amelia Earhart.

If he wants a real challenge, try finding the USS Cyclops

Heard tell that he's looking for Wasp and Hornet next. I haven't verified the veracity of that information.

I'm waiting for him to find a smaller warship than a CV. Something like an Atlanta class CLAA. Alternatively, he could focus on ships that have had the most multiple family members lost on them. Maybe even those ships that have had 4 battle stars? He should branch out a bit.

Agreed. The guy is rubbish. I guess a CLAA is not considered sexy enough.

Actually he is really good at the finding thingy... With Octopus he went through Ironbottom sound, Sibuyan Sea (Musashi), recovered HMS Hood's bell, mapped seabottom around Malta ... and with RV Petrel he found RM Artigliere, USS Indianapolis, went through Surigao Strait, Ormoc Bay...
Of course little Destroyers wont spring such attention as finding carrier or a battleship.

See for yourself:

Actually his current work is one of the best ways to spent a lot of moneys for the good reasons (compared to sunbathing on a private yacht in Monte Carlo and driving expensive Porsche/Jaguar/Ferrari, etc). [&o]

Has anyone tried to find the NC1701 that crashed in SF? Oh, wait, that hasn't happened yet.
