Okay, so you don't know. But that begs the question... why did you make the "low-hassle" claim?
I made the claim because--wait for it--for me requiring internet access to install a game qualifies as low hassle, as long as I don't need internet access to play it, and I can install it as many times as I want.

But that begs the question--why would I bother to answer any of your questions or assist you in any way in future? I can't really think of an answer for that one!

Site is still down. This isn't looking good.

There is bigger hassle than no working site/company.

Straight from the horse's mouth (No I don't really know if Scott likes being called that)... the site was almost up a couple weeks ago (following multiple software & hardware failures), but got snagged up in Ddos attacks. The site was not the primary target, but got hit nonetheless. Then there was a suspected malware infection and Scott has formatted everything and has been reinstalling everything (turned out there was no malware, but the formatting and reinstallation continued).

Essentially, the site is good to go, but will not go live until all security concerns are addressed and remedied.

To sum up....

I think I remember HPS using nginx. Yes they could have it installed on a windows server, but I hope theyre using linux. That would make them more secure.
And I hope they have a good backup.

The site has been working fine here for days... but only now, do I note that I go in the back door. I've been going directly to the patches and branch off from there. I didn't notice the main page was still down, while the rest of the site seems to work fine.

I was just there and got this message:
The HPS Simulations web site is temporarily offline due to technical issues. We hope to have them resolved soon.
In the meantime, for any problems or questions, please email the HPS Support Center at: support@hpssims.com.

We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this outage is causing, and appreciate your patience and support while we get it worked out.

Update 14 Mar 18: This temporary page is being displayed from the rebuilt server. Behind the scenes, the full site is being updated and relinked. Hopefully we will be back up and running soon. Thank you again for your patience as we complete this process.

Exactly! ...By not going to the main page, I've been using the site for days.
Hmmm, do a lot of you go to Matrix main page to get here?

The website has downtimes until now? I was visiting it last month and thought it shouldn't last this long.

I do if I am looking for game information. I bookmark the forums for Matrix though.

I do the same thing for HPS...oh wait, they don't have forums.

There were multiple sequential problems (see above).
