Soviet sappers, 1941 to 1942

The full campaign begins with the 1939 type squad, then it is replaced in Aug 1941 by the 1941 squad. The '41 squad then has a 'last date' of September, with an upgrade in Oct 1942. So the '41 squad is in production for about two months, then they have to last about a year with no more in the pipeline until then?

It's May 1942. Most of my divisions are from about 40-70% of full sapper strength. There's about 130 '41 squads in the pool, and 6 of the '39 type. Not good.
