Civil war? What does that mean? Is there any foreign war? Isn't every war fought between men, between brothers?

The 7 Petten Brothers survived the sinking. Scary to think that it was not until the sinking of the USS Juneau and the death of the 5 Sullivan Brothers that US navy stopped siblings serving on the same ship.

Hmmm - not sure if this is good thing. Its a remarkable discovery - that photo of the Wildcat shows a great state of preservation.....but as recent reports show a lot of wartime wrecks (and thus military graves) have been looted for scrap in the past few years. It would be tragic if the same happened to the Lexington.

It's 2 miles down. I hope the crew can rest in peace.

Just saw it on the msn and facebook, good clean shot though. Glad the weather wasn't bad up there, otherwise they probably wouldn't got this far.

Is'nt this the one had fuel leaks and it exploded?

Suspected Av Gas in the lines exploded. It lead to some serious advances in DC.

Agreed. Now that its location has made the news, I am concerned the Lady Lex will meet the same fate as other WWII warships.
