Commander's Report Battle Tab

Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: The German-Soviet War 1941-1945 is a turn-based World War II strategy game stretching across the entire Eastern Front. Gamers can engage in an epic campaign, including division-sized battles with realistic and historical terrain, weather, orders of battle, logistics and combat results.

The critically and fan-acclaimed Eastern Front mega-game Gary Grigsby’s War in the East just got bigger and better with Gary Grigsby’s War in the East: Don to the Danube! This expansion to the award-winning War in the East comes with a wide array of later war scenarios ranging from short but intense 6 turn bouts like the Battle for Kharkov (1942) to immense 37-turn engagements taking place across multiple nations like Drama on the Danube (Summer 1944 – Spring 1945).

Commander's Report Battle Tab

Would be nicer if it had a column reporting the final odds and maybe the initial reported CV odds. I'm doing this by hand (opening each hex and looking at the detailed combat report) right now and it's a real pain.

That's the basic idea. I'd like to know what makes an attack successful.

You should try watching battle reports in real time on message level 7 [:'(]

I did try message level 7, but my patience ran out after half an hour or so of "AT gun section disrupted by Howitzer".

[:D]

For those with less patience than Crackaces, level 4 or thereabouts can still be informative.

Doing a battle report that high will put you in the crazy house quick ;-P. My son is a psychiatrist if you need one after staring at that for a bit.

Exactly and the match up’s are not what you might assume. In this case a howitzer or howitzers are disrupting I.e takenung out of combat multiple AT guns that tanks will never see. Interesting match ups are AT gun disrupts bicycle squads (showing how bicycles draw fire from AT guns). I think there is randomness, and although an 88mm should have some affinity for shooting at Soviet tanks — it appears not. Thus it is easy to conclude what Telemecus has been saying “anything anti ... Is not” Flak is accounted for in the first air phase, and is anti air...

It does not take too many observations of different devices to get a feel of how combat works, and how the system is far more complex than matching CV strengths to a Combat Results Table.

I would think aircraft first...... then TANKS!!!! And if cows flew they should be the first target since you don't want to get hit by their bomb load ;-P

aircraft first then tanks I can live with - tanks not at all is not historically what the 88mm did.

As for the Soviet 1st volunteer cow regiment, I think we are safe.
