It looks like GOG has a big sale going on right now...

True, but a lot of what you buy there is just a Steam key. I was a bit surprised by that.
Link please!
You know what they say, don't you? About how us MechWarriors are the modern knights, how warfare has become civilized now that we have to abide by conventions and rules of war. Don't believe it.

I hear ya. I buy all my games from Matrix Games & GOG. I stay away from STEAM. I am proud to say I haven't bought not even one game from them. I only use them to look at reviews.

Army General 50% off

Good game. It looks like a Beer & Bretzels or a Panzer Corps clone but it is much deeper.

Steal Armor is the second best Tank Sim out right now. Steal Beasts pro is number 1 in my opinion. Only downside to Steam Armor is it shares the same horrible UI as Graviteam Tactics games.

too right about Steel Beasts Pro Pe - now at version 4.0 it is a monster of a modern tank sim, with the number of vehicles you can drive and the number of scenarios and its community.

I was going to get Steel Division 1944 on Steam but the mixed reviews give the impression that it doesnt have a very good single player side to it, with few maps and a linear campaign. - so i went with upgrading Steel Beasts to 4.0 instead !

that would be fun and the scenario you are playing sounds excellent, but 1900utc is 6.00am my time which is not ideal for me at all. there was an australian group i played some games with a while back (back when it was just pro pe 2.654) but i dont think they liked me as i was not in the actual army like them and so i couldnt understand how orders were being phrased often, and most of the time i just had to sit around doing nothing in the back -

actually i just reinstalled SB legacy too today - had to put it on a virtual pc to have it running nicely - its old but i like it too

Mount & Blade series available for 15,29 €.

I have played Viking Conquest a bit, and combat mechanic is a little bit of a challenge. I might like Kingdom Come: Deliverance better, but I'll wait until it is patched up.

Not a sale, but rather a new game available: BATTLETECH. Yes, it is all capitalized.
