bizarre negative loss number in current 1944 game

First time i see numbers like that in german looses. (I'am soviet).
During a mud turn. No combat.

I am getting this same thing in my game as Soviets vs Smokingdave too it started as soon as the 42 winter ended and we are half way through 43 now and it has happened every turn

You have more returns from disabled than new disabled.

The attrition damage is surprisingly low. I was expecting around 15K german casualties like the turn before.

Of course my opponent limited the troops in contact with my units, he may have done a very successful job.
