glyphoglossus - don't worry, you can mix and match every part of that mod.
if you like vanilla icons better just revert to your backup and restore the 'mapiconsXX.bmp' files.

btw, if you're just starting out on the witp-ae way of life - make sure to read the OP.
(eg. this v2-map needs for the extended map to work...)

so long and good luck!
chem!

Excellent! Thanks. I am using JSGME to manage the mods, so I assume what I have to do is to extract the original icon files into their own folder and patch that on top of your map mod?

Hello. Can you take a look at your V.2 download link? I just get a page of random characters. The link seems broken to me.

Many thanks.

Thanks! Definitely a Microsoft Edge/Explorer issue. Got the download with Chrome installed. The map is a thing of beauty.

Hesitate to ask...but my HotKeys screen is cutoff to the right when I open. I only get about half of it. Any thoughts?

I tried tweaking my px settings, but couldn't make the change that worked. End of the day, I replaced the V2 version of the Hotkey page with your V1.

I'm good now.

Thanks again.

Having an issue with V.2 on a fresh (latest beta) install. The Map art doesn't match the locations of Abadan (and Abadan isn't clickable,) and Aden, nor are the extended map locations showing up as bases. I'm pretty sure that for whatever reason, the map data isn't loading properly. Has anyone else experienced this?

You have some kind of missmatch between the scenario file, pwhexe.dat and map art.

In a simple way you can look
Scenario files: Where bases, ships etc are.
Map data (phexe.dat): Terrain in hexes and hexside types. Also affects where on the map you can click.
Map art (.bmp files): No ingame effect, only changes how things look.

The first order of business is to use the correct scenario for a given pwhexe.dat file. Usually this means standard/stock (e.g. the normal WitP:AE scenarios, unmodified pwhexe.dat) or "extended" (many different custom scenarios such as the DBB B and C versions as found on https://sites.google.com/site/dababeswitpae/home ). The map art you can figure out afterwards.

BINGO.

I didn't interpret that the extended version also required a different scenario file. Thanks very much!

Your contributions have been amazing over the years. Hope it isn't anything too serious.

He pulled it. [:(] Before I could get around to saving it. I may have it in my archives. Not sure. [:(]
