Looking for an experienced Soviet opponent
Going to kick the rust off and play a game as the Axis. +1 Soviet attack and mild blizzard. No para drops in '41. Can do 2-3 turns a week.

Good ole Dave. I can do reds, no +1, no paras, no partisans in summer 41, no running, (well maybe not on the running). Regular weather.
Must kill Pavlov bug, no FBD exploit, no Red 41 kill of LW.
Use .10 version, the second to last one, before M took an ax to the hqbu.
See you in Berlin in about a year or two.
Got one game now, not a problem.
ps, why hello there to m-60

I'll try M60 - been playing mostly Soviet recently but looking forward to taking another crack at Axis.
Who's picture is that in your avatar?
RE: Looking for an experienced Soviet opponent
We'll leave the avatar as an open question on the thread. That way we can see who knows their Soviet generals. [;)]

Good luck to both of you. The thing about this game is that you both will fight to the VERY bitter end.

Wasn't he the youngest Soviet General and 1st Soviet General to set foot into Germany? I believe he was a Jew too.

He was the youngest Front Commander. His Third Belarus Front was the first which set foot
in East Prussia 09.1944 or 10.1944.He was also called butcher of Polish Home Army. You can also read that he was killed by tank crew which commander was shot dead by drunk Chernyakhovsky.
It was accurate shot from 76,2mm or 85mm tank gun ))))))))))))))))))

Ya same, you know 100% this game will have an ending either way. Both are "Die Hards" .

His officially listed death was from German artillery fire, but there is this other unofficial version he was killed by a tank crew. Unfortunately, all the videos on YouTube are from Russian documentaries that have not been translated. Here is one.

As Supreme Commander of Soviet Forces in East Prussia, he was also supposedly on the verge of being promoted to Marshal when he died.
RE: Looking for an experienced Soviet opponent
Unofficialy version about his death you can find in Polish Wikipedia. Some Russians also say that he was killed by "friendly fire"

I'm considering it - I haven't done one in a LONG time. What is the best program/method to capture screenshots for AAR's now?

Well I can only speak for myself but my "die hard" mentality can also attributed to being stubborn....even when getting my butt kicked
