Korean Peninsula - Prospects for Hostilities 1987

The new Cold War turned hot wargame from On Target Simulations, now expanded with the Player's Edition! Choose the NATO or Soviet forces in one of many scenarios or two linked campaigns. No effort was spared to model modern warfare realistically, including armor, infantry, helicopters, air support, artillery, electronic warfare, chemical and nuclear weapons. An innovative new asynchronous turn order means that OODA loops and various effects on C3 are accurately modeled as never before.

Korean Peninsula - Prospects for Hostilities 1987

Post by Zakalwe101 »

Came across this whilst browsing, dated 1987, so about in line with this games key period, makes an interesting read, still refers to the Soviets, places the balance of power in the Norths favour, though I wonder what the prsent assessment would be ?

Today's estimates are likely more concerned with internal instability in the DPRK and its nuclear weapons over a conventional attack. I'd love to see a FPC entry set in Korea, and its heavier density of foot infantry potential would definitely be a change over West Germany.
