Magnify the Unit List?

Magnify the Unit List?
Is there any way to increase the size of the unit list? I can barely read it when playing on a TV monitor with 1920x1080.
The Unit List is perfectly visible on the same monitor when playing the old Campaign series. Here's a side by side screen clip taken when both games are up to show what I mean. Is there some simple adjustment I'm mot making?
Thanks!

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
Are you playing JTCS under a lower resolution? Unit lists are the same width in both games.

That must be the difference. Next question: how do I check/change the screen resolution? Is there an .ini file I've not seen?
Thanks!

No, not as such. There are apps for changing the screen resolution while launching a game, but you're not doing that are you. Check your shortcut settings in any case?
Sorry, need to log off now, getting late in these parts of world...

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
Thanks for your help. I checked the shortcuts for both games, there are no switches there. Also, is it even possible to run two games simultaneously when each is at a different screen resolution? Honestly I don't even know but seems doubtful. In the screenshot above you can see both games are running concurrently - it wasn't a cut and paste job.

what is your system/desktop resolution? As for running JTCS and CSME at the same time with a different resolution... I doubt it. Unless one uses 2 monitors, but I might be wrong.

It's 1920x1080. I'm definitely not using 2 monitors. Both games were running side by side.

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
The only thing I can think of, depends if you use Windows 7 or 10, is the scaling option or... you know, the magnifying glass (accessibility option in Windows).ORIGINAL: TJD

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
I have Windows 10. Wouldn't the scaling option affect both games? My global settings are just the default ones.
RE: Magnify the Unit List?
So here's another, better example, this one taken on my laptop screen (1920x1080 resolution) when both JTCS and CSME are running simultaneously. The sizing difference in the unit info box is really substantial--I don't mean to be too aggressive in bringing this issue forward but it really makes a big difference in visibility to my old eyes. Note too that the size of the text difference in the info boxes is very marked. Any chance this can be fixed?
Thanks!
Thanks!

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
TJD, I don't know what's going on but the Unit lists and the unit compass roses there are of exact same size within the game. You have Windows 10 right? Somehow it must be the scaling options on each shortcut that result the W10 desktop scaling the other app to a visually larger size, while keeping the other one standard.

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
There aren't any scaling options on my shortcuts. I'm sure of this. Moreover, the two games are running concurrently, so any scaling differences, which I believe are global, would affect them both, right?

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
Well, essentially: yes. I have no idea what's the explanation behind this to be honest.
The unit list graphics file is 183px wide, so from the screenshot you posted, Middle East looks to be displayed at its proper size, while JTCS West Front for some reason is magnified to some 230 pixels of width [&:]

Note that I have both games installed on two different systems, and the scaling disparity is the same on both.
Can you identify the specific graphics files that are involved? Is tinkering here feasible?

RE: Magnify the Unit List?
So, while playing Middle East with the TV set as your display, maybe have the Desktop scaling ON?

Well, it is on, by default, on both the laptop and desktop.
