Liberty or Death

Has Matrix Games ever considered redoing the old KOEI game Liberty or Death? I know there are freeware versions out there, but I am talking about the equivalent of what you did for Panzer General with Panzer Corps. I loved the way Liberty or Death was set up.

I still remember as the Japanese in PTO 1 capturing San Francisco and Los Angles.
I think it broke the AI! They never(or couldn't) sortie again.
